Mari, head coach and co-founder
Leads the group lessons and the 3-morning camp.

Mari learned to surf at twelve on this bay. Kino learned to read the ocean from his grandfather, who could tell where the fish were from the color of the water.
Mari taught surf from the beach; Kino ran whale trips in his father's panga. Her students kept asking about whales and his guests kept asking about surf, so in 2019 they put both under one name.
Saltwater Tours is still small on purpose. Six surfers per coach, so we can actually watch your pop-up. And one rule: we only go out when we'd go out ourselves. If the swell's wrong or the wind's up, we'll tell you straight and move your day.
In winter, Hannah joins us. She's a marine biologist who came from Bristol for one whale season six years ago and is still here. She answers your kids' whale questions.
Leads the group lessons and the 3-morning camp.
Runs the boats and the two captains who work with him.
Whale briefings, the hydrophone and training the whale guides.
Private lessons and the youngest surfers.
On a real client's site, their permit and registration details would appear here.
If the port authority closes the port, or our crew judges the wind, swell or a storm unsafe, we cancel and you choose a new date or a full refund. We tell you by WhatsApp and email by 7 p.m. the evening before; if the sea changes overnight, by 6 a.m. for morning trips, or at least 2 hours before afternoon trips. Rain alone doesn't cancel a trip.
